How does the DT 770 PRO X differ from the DT 770 PRO?
Both the DT 770 PRO and DT 770 PRO X studio headphones share a similar sound signature, excellent build quality, and application-optimized product design. The high product quality is achieved through manufacturing in Germany.A significant difference lies in the driver technology:
The DT 770 PRO is available in multiple impedance variants (32 Ohms, 80 Ohms, and 250 Ohms) to optimally adapt to different application scenarios. The DT 770 PRO X, on the other hand, uses the modern STELLAR.45 driver with 48 Ohms, which covers a wide frequency range of 5 – 40,000 Hz and can be operated on a variety of playback devices without compromising sound quality.
The models also differ in their equipment: The DT 770 PRO comes with a fixed 3-meter cable. The DT 770 PRO X, however, features a detachable 3-meter cable with a lockable mini-XLR connector.Additionally, the DT 770 PRO X has improved wearing comfort. An integrated fontanelle recess in the headband reduces pressure on sensitive areas at the top of the head.
How does the DT 770 PRO X differ from the DT 700 X?
The DT 770 PRO X features the well-known sound tuning of the DT 770 PRO with an emphasis on bass and treble. The DT 700 PRO X, on the other hand, offers a significantly more linear reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum, making it suitable for recording, monitoring, and mixing.
In terms of design, the models also differ: The DT 770 PRO X visually aligns more closely with the classic original model DT 770 PRO, while the DT 700 PRO X has a distinct, modern appearance.Another difference lies in the scope of delivery:
The DT 700 PRO X comes with two detachable, straight cables (1.8 m and 3 m). The DT 770 PRO X comes with a detachable 3-meter cable. All mentioned cables have a lockable mini-XLR connector for secure hold in the studio.
